BYD 2024 Star series electric vehicles go on sale, with upgraded smart features and improved design
The BYD Star series has officially arrived in the Chinese market, featuring six variants of plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and pure electric vehicles. The PHEVs are priced between CNY 7.98 yuan (approximately USD 1.2) and CNY 12.58 yuan (approximately USD 1.9), while the full-electric versions will start at around CNY 8.98 yuan.
In addition to the new PHEV variants, BYD is also introducing special deals for first-time buyers, including a "Seven-Star" package worth up to CNY 24,000 (approximately USD 3,600). The package includes items such as an upgraded driving system, financial assistance, and enhanced safety features.
The Star series has undergone significant upgrades in terms of its smart features.
2025 BYD Star PHEV
BYD has introduced various new features to the Star series, including:
- A more aerodynamic design in both the external and interior features
- Improved infotainment system with enhanced displays
- Enhanced driver assistance systems for safety on highways
The powertrain remains unchanged however, utilizing a 1.5-liter engine paired with two motors and nine different battery configurations
