Tengshen Z9 GT First Revealed at 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Tengshen brand unveiled its flagship luxury sedan, the Z9 GT, in its pure electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) forms, at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The vehicle is now priced between €33,480 and €41,480.

Designed using the company's signature "Solar Diadem" language, the Tengshen Z9 GT boasts a striking front fascia with a unique twin-star front light design complemented by a muscular air intake at the base. Additional smart devices, including an active grille shutters system (AGS), laser radar, and millimeter-wave radar are cleverly integrated into the front grill area.

The dimensions of the Z9 GT measure 5,195 (5,180) x 1,990 x 1,480 (1,500) mm with a wheelbase distance of 3,125mm. Inside, Tengshen Z9 GT is equipped with a 17.3-inch 2.5K high-resolution touchscreen display with BYD9000 custom processor and 4nm process configuration.

The car features advanced technologies for exceptional driving sensations. The new model comes standard with the latest BAS 3.0+, while it also offers unique features like extreme turnability, round-off reversing, three-point parking system, low ground clearance stability system, and intelligent wading. These advanced features come together to deliver an unparalleled driving experience that subverts the traditional luxury car concept.

Regarding its powertrain, both its electric (eGT) and plug-in hybrid variants are built with Tengshen's "Easy-Phase" vehicle intelligence platform. The all-wheel-drive system uses three electric motors, allowing a seamless connection between various configurations.

The model's specifications offer 710 kW for the pure-electric version, while the PHEV variant yields an impressive 640 kW with a 2.0T inline engine delivering 207 horsepower (152 kW). With capabilities that support incredible speeds of up to 240 km/h and 230km/h for electric and hybrid options respectively, the plug-in model stands out by achieving remarkable highway range.

With its air suspension system capable of height adjustments without softening or stiffness issues, a seamless experience is provided to passengers in either hard or soft modes.
