Baojun 310 Launched in China, 27 Months After Debut
The first 100,000 units of the Baojun 310 have rolled off the line, with retail sales starting just over two and a half years since its debut. The compact car is equipped with platform 3.0 technology, boasting intelligent cockpit high-grade DiLink 100 amenities amongst seven configuration options priced between 6.98-8.58 yuan.
As part of the Ocean Network Electric vehicle brand's entry-level lineup, the Baojun 310 inherits design elements from its Ocean series peers. A sloping roof profile is notable throughout the car, accompanied by striking colour options and contrasting lines that emphasize a youthful profile. The rear, featuring inextricably linked tail headlights with distinctiveness enhanced through a slim side-profile and reinforced lateral LED lights, creates visually striking contrast with an extended, aerodynamic boot section and high performance diffuser.
The dimensions of this car are 3780x1715x1540mm, resulting in a 2500mm track width for stable handling. The interior design of the Baojun 310 echoes its predecessor's blueprint, including the classic steering wheel, seven-inch dashboard digital display alongside 10.1-inch touchscreen options that differ based on model variant.
A highly developed onboard driving system equips certain versions with a version of "the eye of God" advanced driver assistance package known as Smart Driving System Three Eyes Edition integrated with the smart cockpit high-grade DiLink 100 for higher-end trims, which offer six-direction motorized adjustments for passenger seat comfort. A seat heating function completes an impressive display of its advanced in-car amenities alongside the passenger's side.
Under its powered frame rests permanent magnet synchronous electric drivetrain unit, generating maximum power at 55kW output in conjunction with a highly efficient aerodynamic setup. Powertrain specs also report performance of up to 135 Newton-meters peak torque, while electric charging times see optimal results when drawing off DC fast-charger power under regular temperature conditions.
