Longan Automobile's Production Marks a New Era for Automotive Industry in Thailand

On May 15, Longan Automobile officially inaugurated its first overseas factory in Thailand, marking the debut of the BlueSky S05 RHB model with deliveries and production scheduled to begin soon. This milestone signifies the company's ambition to expand globally and diversify production, as it aims to exceed 500 million vehicles sold worldwide by 2030 and 300 million new energy vehicle sales.

Brand Expansion and Market Infiltration

With the launch of Longan Automobile's Thai factory, the brand steps into a new era, demonstrating its resolve to "sea everything from a single vessel." As part of this growth plan, the company plans to establish multiple production lines and expand to Southeast Asia, Australia, and other major markets. The capacity is expected to increase from 10 million vehicles per annum at present to 20 million by 2027.

Automotive Export Expansion

Longan Automobile has officially marked the entry into the automotive export market with its Thai factory, signifying a "three-step growth" strategy for global expansion. By combining domestic expertise, partnerships, and local production, Longan aims to create an integrated manufacturing platform capable of producing cutting-edge vehicles that meet international standards.

This milestone marks the establishment of the world's first Chinese-integrated overseas new energy vehicle (EV) factory in Thailand, showcasing an exemplar of a globally competitive vehicle manufacturer. The plant combines 41 years of domestic automotive experience with cuttingedge technologies and a focus on local production.

Thai Distribution Market

Longan Automobile has successfully positioned its models deep-seated in the Thai market following strong sales performance in markets such as Rangoon and Chiang Mai: the Deep Blue S07, E07, and Avita 11 series together have achieved over 14,000 vehicles sold. The company aims to introduce an additional twelve new EV versions.

For establishing brand presence the Thai automotive market, Longan Automobile emphasizes long-term strategy with local adaptation. This includes offering employment opportunities for locals through its establishment of a logistics warehouse in Roongur and leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) as well as a technological hub focused on upgrading mobility services. Alongside the development of AI technologies such as autonomous driving, humanoid robots, and flying cars, Longan Automobile is committed to contributing significantly to Thailand's GDP growth.

Latest Models

The latest Deep Blue S05 right-fore car model, launched following its debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March this year, now arrives on the Thai market featuring not only the original deep blue color but also a newly-developed high-energy variant. By adopting advanced automotive technology, Longan aims to surpass the traditional four-cylinder engine with performance levels exceeding 175kW.

The car provides various functionalities like seamless projection for illumination and interaction, and vehicle recognition using HUAWEI Pixel technology. Featuring a futuristic interior design centered around an 15.6-inch LCD screen, the vehicle boasts enhanced driver interaction capabilities with features such as augmented reality (AR) display, voice-control operation systems, rear-seat air conditioning outlets, and remote charging capabilities.

By pushing forward a new blueprint for Thai automotive markets, Longan Automobile establishes itself firmly in its target region through its global expansion plan, which aims to propel regional manufacturers onto the world car stage.
