Smallpang Release "Vision Scope" AR-HUD System in Chinese Electric Vehicle G7
On June 5, Smallpang announced the release of its "Vision Scope" head-up display system (HUD), developed jointly with Huawei for their advanced augmented reality (AR) capabilities. The system will make its debut on the company's newly launched G7 electric vehicle.
Smallpang officials stated that the G7 is set to make its official debut on June 11, with pre-orders commencing shortly after. As a new model in Smallpang's lineup, the G7 is focused on providing an intelligent and spacious driving experience, integrating numerous innovative technologies into its design.
When it comes to pricing, the company has indicated that the G7 will fall within the 25,000 yuan (approximately USD $3,700) range. Design-wise, the model takes cues from Smallpang's family aesthetic, with a three-section LED strip and an integrated fog light system. The front grille is also equipped with an air intake opening to enhance cooling.
Upon inspection of the car's body-side design, one can observe its rounded contours with concealed handle bars for driver convenience and low-drag wheels. Its rear end boasts a spoiler on top of which are two LED-lit corner modules for improved visibility. Furthermore, the vehicle's taillights feature an angular approach, complete with a subtle curved upper edge.
The G7’s length, width, and height measure 4,892 mm, 1,925 mm, and 1,655 mm respectively in total axial distance of 2,890mm. The specifications can be seen to make an effort at compactening body structure, while maximising space available for batteries without compromising on aerodynamics.
Power-wise, the latest announcement tells us the G7’s single-motor drive unit offers a top speed of 202km/h and has maximum output power of 218kW. Moreover, this automobile is anticipated to come equipped with an iron phosphate lithium-ion battery pack as standard throughout its production run.
