New Car Deliveries for Chinese Electric Vehicle Companies Surge in May 2025

In May 2025, Geely's electric vehicle division, Geely Automobile, handed over new cars totaling 23,031 units, a year-on-year growth of 13.1%. This represents an increase from the same period last year.

Among the deliveries, the Geely brand shipped out 13,270 new cars, while the Leiji brand delivered 6,281 units, followed by Firefly's first full month delivery of 3,680 units to the market.

So far, Geely Automobile has handed over a total of around 7,607,890 new cars, with the Geely brand delivering 710,655 units, while Leiji brand deliveries stand at 46,223, and Firefly shipments reach 3,911 as of now.

Moreover, Geely's "Caeleb World Model" (NWM) version 1.0 was launched on May 30th with over 40 million units of vehicle "Banyan" available for the first set. The "Cedar Snowy" range including ET9, New ES6, new EC6 and newly added models like New ET5 and new E5T, will be officially launched in the market from June last.

Leiji's updated version 1.2 of its auto app, Coconut "椰子", began to push today. This time the update has made over 70 enhancements across multiple domains such as entertainment system, active safety system and basic usage experience for users, like automatic emergency braking (AEB) for full autonomous driving, a new, and world first-in-the-industry AI vocal- assistant which could allow users ordering their McDonald's meals in an smart Voice-way and overall better travel experiences.
