Alpine's 463 HP Beast Unveiled: European Debut Set for 2026.

Alpine A390 Officially Unveiled: The Flagship SUV from the French Luxury Brand

The Alpscar, or more formally known as the Alpine, has announced the launch of its latest flagship model, the A390. With a total length of 4615mm and a weight of 2121kg, this luxury SUV is the largest vehicle to be produced by the brand.

Under the bonnet, the A390 boasts a three-electric motor setup, which delivers a maximum power output of 463 horsepower, with an impressive 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 3.9 seconds. This powerful configuration makes it one of the fastest electric SUVs currently available on the market.

Produced at Alpine's factory in Dieppe, France, the A390 is set to debut in the European market by 2026. The vehicle features a sleek and aerodynamic design inspired by the A390 β concept car, including a unique triple-judge-style daytime running light and a distinctive trapezoidal grille front bumper.

When viewed from the side, the A390 sports a sloping roofline and an integrated door handle that is housed in the C pillar. The four-door SUV comes in two variants: the A390 GT and the A390 GTS, both of which feature three electric motors under the bonnet. The GT model delivers 396 horsepower, with an astonishing 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds.

The GTS variant, on the other hand, boasts an impressive 463 horsepower at its disposal, thanks to its electrifying performance capabilities. Moreover, it comes equipped with a maximum torque output of 808 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an incredible 3.9 seconds.

In addition to their exceptional acceleration figures, both variants also produce extensive amounts of energy, reaching up to 89 kWh for the 463 horsepower model.

Within the interior, the A390 maintains its family resemblance by drawing inspiration from traditional designs. Upon entering, it is met with the first sight of a central infotainment system consisting of an in-dash screen measuring exactly 12 inches and built-in to an Android Automotive platform. In turn, Alpine will integrate Android smartphone integration capabilities, alongside features such as remote control and 360-degree vision.

Dotted throughout are high-quality physical controls attached directly onto the steering wheel, with plenty of ambient adjustments also presented on a separate console above it.

Moving towards the exterior details, we discover more elaborate designs incorporating aluminum trim components with accents found commonly in Alpine models. There is also an embedded French tricolor element – one that reflects the brand's heritage and history through integration into design elements across all vehicle systems.

In terms of dimensions, measurements reveal a total length measuring 4615mm, combined with overall width and height of 1885mm and 1532 millimeters respectively. Additionally to include standard fitted wheels of 20 inches, there is an option for enhanced performance versions with wheel diameters reaching up to 21 inches.

Lastly, it must be noted that the rear area is marked by split spoilers on top designed with air flow enhancements. Alongside those added aerodynamic touches and equipped features including tail lamp technology, side mirrors come fitted as dual units offering an effective way forward in enhancing navigation clarity through improved directional visibility when moving at night or during periods of heavy driving conditions.
