BYD Han L: A New Model with a Cutting-Edge Radar System

The latest version of the China National Standard for Industry and Technology (CNST) has been released, providing information on the latest model from BYD, known as the Han L. The model is available in two variants, one without laser radar and another with an integrated laser radar system.

The Han L was formally launched in April this year, offering six different car models for customers to choose from, with prices ranging from 20.98 to 27.98 thousand yuan. The Han L plug-in hybrid car model features the latest fifth-generation DM technology, accompanied by a DiDyna intelligent platform. The recently announced model will offer the laser radar system as an optional configuration, which is expected to further reduce the price.

Design and Features

The exterior design of the Han L has been rewritten using BYD's new "Loong Face" language, with long taillights that create a sharp and sleek look. The entire front package has undergone significant changes, incorporating new air intakes and grills that enhance the entire vehicle. The newly designed front bumper has been lengthened, allowing for better airflow and cooling.

The Han L's interior design is modern and sleek, offering an improved passenger experience. Key features include a laser radar system, rearview mirror bracket, side mirrors, wing-shaped camera modules, black decorative parts, wheels, front camera units, shark fin-like fenders, and monogrammed badges.

Technical Details and Performance

The Han L plug-in hybrid car is equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM powertrain, featuring a new 1.5T hybrid engine exclusively designed for this model. The maximum output of the vehicle's electric motor is 115 kW for four-wheel drive models, achieving a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and an endurance range of up to 180 kilometers on electric power alone.

Expected Release Costs

The expected release cost for both variants of the Han L has not been disclosed by BYD at this point.
