New Electric Mercedes-Benz CLA L Launched with Sleek Design and Improved Features

BEIJING, CHINA - Mercedez-Benz has launched its latest electric model, the CLA L pure-electric version, which boasts a sleek design language, improved features, and enhanced capabilities.

The new CLA L is based on the MMA platform and equipped with a 200 kW single electric motor drive. The vehicle's dimensions have been increased by 40 millimeters in length, reaching 2830 millimeters from the front axle to the rear axle. The car features a longer wheelbase compared to its overseas counterparts.

Visually, the new model showcases Mercedes-Benz's modern design language, with a unique combination of LED fog lights and day-time running lights, as well as a distinctive LED grille. The front bumper is designed with a three-pointed star-shaped design, while the rear comes equipped with a connected LED light group.

Upon closer inspection, hidden door handles can be seen on either side of the car, along with an impressive sloping silhouette for the roof-top design. A series of gleaming aluminum accents adorn the vehicle, providing further visual flair.

With its impressive wheelbase and lengthened dimensions, the CLA L offers increased passenger space at the rear, where seat dimensions have been extended by 10 millimeters to meet increased demands. Rear passengers can enjoy improved ease while traveling within their destination. The vehicle holds three seats overall.

Mercedes-Benz will release three new variants: a regular variant featuring wheels of standard quality measuring 18 inches in diameter; a mid-level version with the additional premium upgrade for advanced style accessories and LED light units along a central pillar to enhance an upscale visual feel in its rear section; and a luxury model available on wheels measuring 19 inches across, set against darker wheel hub colors from the top. These wheel options complement four major front side LED units placed close to one another.

Under the hood of this cutting-edge EV sits a single 200 kW motor connected through an electric powertrain. The top speed for this drive unit tops at 272 horsepower and speeds up to 240 kilometers per hour using this drive system, while reaching impressive highway performance thanks in no small part due to enhanced charging levels from a high-speed connection.

This car runs on more than ten hours of electricity, according to test conditions.
