New Generation of Chinese Electric Cars: BeiDi's SeaHorse 06EV

On June 7, 2025, the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show officially kicked off at Baidu's booth. The new electric car, named SeaHorse EV-06, marks a significant expansion in BeiDi's lineup and is positioned as a sister model to the Qinsen EV.

Priced within the range of CNY 10.98 to CNY 12.98 thousand, the SeaHorse EV-06 boasts three different configurations available for customers. With its innovative family-style design language, this new electric car promises an exciting driving experience.

The exterior design of the SeaHorse EV-06 is notable for its aggressive stance. The front fascia houses a closed-off grille accompanied by large LED headlights and a seven-piece air intake configuration that creates a sporty feel. When viewed from the side, the three-sectioning door handles with unique and aerodynamic shapes reduce drag coefficient to enhance the car's maneuverability. A classic tail-lamp design reminiscent of BeiDi's previous signature model showcases its heritage.

Internally, the SeaHorse EV-06 maintains its family-oriented style with a larger, high-resolution dashboard screen supported by intuitive infotainment functions, as well as an improved ergonomic rear view and more advanced vehicle safety features. The interior also provides ample legroom and adequate luggage space for travelers alike. Moreover, mobile charging systems provide greater accessibility in the use of smartphones.

SeaHorse EV-06 measures at 4720L x 1880W x 1495H while providing an optimal balance between efficiency and mobility performance.

With its powerful battery unit powered by Baidu's e-platforms consisting of the B3.0 Evo platform, SeaHorse EV-06 will utilize cutting-edge electric motor technology to deliver efficient and comfortable travel experiences for passengers.

The driving range of the new car is divided into two versions. The shortest range reaches 470km and a longer variation reaches 545km allowing users more flexibility according to their needs.
