BYD Chan, the Electric MPV, Set to Hit the Market on January 8th

A glimpse into BYD's upcoming electric MPV, the Chan, has been revealed, with details about its configuration and pricing. The vehicle is expected to rival the Toyota Senna and Grivias when it hits the market.

The Chan is positioned as a mid-to-full-size MPV with an electric powertrain, equipped with fifth-generation DM technology.

Transferring the "Dragon's Heritage" design language from BYD's royal family, the Chan boasts impressive dimensions: 5145mm in length, 1970mm in width, and 1805mm in height. The rear overhang is a mere 3045mm, resulting in impressive maneuverability with a turning radius of just 5.7 meters.

Inside, the vehicle comes equipped with an opulent interior featuring full-screen panoramic sunroof, double-layer front and rear noise insulation glasses, and a center-middle row private cabin. Advanced safety features include eight passenger airbags, including frontal and side impact protection, knee airbag, and other configurations. The seating configuration is available in 2+3-seat configurations.

Moving on to the equipment layout, the Chan's top-tier model boasts an array of amenities, including the following: 50W wireless charging for smartphones, wide domain cold storage, heated seats with ventilation, DiSound audio system upgrade, mobile phone projection function, and more. The interior is further enhanced by automatic sliding doors, double-layer rear glass roof, and the rear seat folding functionality.

The vehicle features a luxurious ambiance on the inside, including a fully-equipped interior package for passengers. Additionally, it also includes other practical equipment like adjustable seats with multi-functionality and the Nappa leather upholstery option.
