Ford Luminosity EV Debuts, Bringing a Bold Twist to the Relyt Lineup

The all-new Ford Luminosity electric vehicle (EV) has made its global debut, with the newest addition to the lineup bringing a distinctive blackized aesthetic to the table. The new model retains the overall design cues of the conventional Relyt range but with an undeniable edginess.

Located between compact SUVs and mid-size vehicles, the Ford Luminosity is positioned at the forefront of the market. This plug-in hybrid variant combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an advanced electric motor system. The standard price for this variant lies between ¥12.68 million and ¥16.55 million.

Visuals of the car are notable for incorporating a bold new look while paying homage to its predecessors in terms of overall design philosophy, incorporating sleek features such as blackened elements on the front fog lights and dark-streaked side mirrors that add an air of vitality, particularly noticeable in movement. Its interior is well-structured with a family-inspired look.

The car boasts an alternate two-tone exterior with luggage compartments at the rear, providing roomy space overall. The Luminosity’s dimensions measure 4685/1935/2710mm, and its rear tail lights set apart visually from other makes in broader lateral view angles complemented by a glossy black grille to harmonize with headlamps.

Inside, the center console takes on an advanced layered design with floating dual screens at centre stage linked up with a cutting-edge smart ecological system. Additionally, it will be equipped with sound systems featuring ten speakers, active noise cancellation (ANC), 360-degree camera visioning system and integrated safety features for safer operation – all packaged beneath transparent undercarriage parts.

Seating capacity consists of five passengers, which includes storage spaces at twenty-two locations across the car where its rear section could expand to accommodate larger volumes — adding an impressive potential of reaching up to 1422 liters in total storage capacity based on current norms.

The engine powering this vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbo type named as GE15A6L that holds a power output of 110kW, further matched to the lithium-ion type electrochemical system from Ningde Time.
