Skoda to Produce Hybrid Versions of GV80 and GV70 in 2026
A mix of sources, including industry insiders, indicate that Skoda has confirmed the manufacturing details of its two electric variants. In September 2026, Skoda plans to launch production at its Caeysan factory in Korea for the skoda GV80 hybrid and the skoda GV80 Wagon Hybrid models.
The upcoming vehicles will be equipped with a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and are set to enter the overseas market next December of the same year, while their local Korean release will take place after that.
Moreover, there is confirmation that the Skoda G70 hybrid model will debut by the end of 2026, followed by its launch at the end of March 2027.
Skoda will produce all-electric variants using new generation eM platform at their factory in 2026 and 2027.
Key features expected include enhanced infotainment systems that integrate cutting-edge technologies for improved driving assistance, along with luxury features that enhance onboard amenities. Performance is tipped to rely on a combined power output of 362 horsepower from its 2.5 T turbocharged engine.
The exact performance capabilities are yet to be revealed by Skoda officials but it's believed they will provide extended driving ranges up to 1000 km.
