New Energy Compact SUV G50 Hybrid Marks Its Debut in China Market

The highly anticipated Above-Auto (Shangchai) G50 hybrid, a compact SUV that makes its debut on April 9th, has officially hit the Chinese market. Two variants of the vehicle have been launched, priced between RMB 13.98 and RMB 14.98 thousand.

Sales Figures

The new car has already received over 18 thousand pre-orders in just a few days after its launch. The manufacturer aims to maximize the sales potential with various promotional channels, including advertising and social media campaigns.

Key Features

• The G50 hybrid features an in-line, natural gas powered engine coupled to a power unit consisting of P1 and P3 electric motors.
• Frontal design: LED daytime running lights are integrated into the front grille with distinctive fog lamps. A central decorative emblem is mounted on either side of the headlights. The new G50Hybrid boasts futuristic-looking trim elements in black chrome.
• The interior boasts a wide-angle panoramic windscreen and new design colors with a leather-wrapped dashboard.
• Driver assistance features include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, rear traffic collision warning system and driver attention monitoring system.
