Luxury SUV to Make Global Debut in 2025, Company Announces New Product Plan
A sneak peek at the MG HS4, the latest electric SUV from the brand, has been released byMG. Scheduled to launch in 2025, the new car is set to be a key part of the company's ambitious product plan.
The newly unveiled images show off the stylish exterior design of the HS4, which is expected to be one of several electrified models that will form part of MG's lineup this year. With a price bracket spanning from 8-30 yuan, the model is expected to cater to a wide range of customers.
According to internal plans, the 2025 MG lineup will consist of six electric vehicles, further expanding the brand's offerings in various categories. The new electric SUV, along with existing models and upcoming hybrids, will enable MG to establish a comprehensive brand matrix by 2027.
MG executive Mr. Wang Zhiqi has hinted that this year's launch model could come equipped with half-solid-state batteries, at a relatively affordable price point. In a recent Q&A session on social media, he also confirmed that the new car would be fitted with semi-hollow-state batteries – a more efficient energy storage technology.
Meanwhile, MG plans to introduce its DMH hybrid powertrain system in 2025. The company aims to provide various energy solutions for customers across different price spectrum.
