Geely Officially Announces Boxer Day with Reveal of New Geely HuanHuan T1
On May 26, Geely will hold its Boxer Day, where the company is expected to unveil its brand-new Geely HuanHuan T1. This electric vehicle marks a significant addition to Geely's lineup and promises an enhanced driving experience with advanced features.
During the upcoming event, several new car models are set to make their debut, including the long-wheelbase versions of the HuanHuan T1, HuanHuan T2, and Free Cruiser. The new HuanHuan T1 is equipped with three electric motors, a Nidec 43.2 kWh battery pack, and Geely's XWD all-wheel-drive system for improved off-road capabilities.
The HuanHuan T1 four-wheel drive model was showcased at the recent Shanghai Auto Show, introducing its unique box-on-box design. The vehicle boasts an aggressive front grille, four LED headlamps, and a distinctive middle air dam, resulting in exceptional visibility and recognition. Its specs include a 200mm ground clearance, 28-degree approach angle, and 29-degree receding angle.
Inside the cabin, Geely has employed the latest interior design trends. The vehicle features an all-digital instrument cluster with a large screen display, heated seats, air conditioning, and other modern amenities. In addition to traditional controls, there is an additional driver mode control switch allowing for seamless switching between drive modes.
A significant change in the new HuanHuan T1 lies in its powertrain department. Featuring China's Long Cheng Pei Lup 1.5TD hybrid engine paired with three electric motors and a Geely XWD all-wheel-drive system, this drivetrain has been engineered to accommodate city cruising on electricity, high-speed highways using gasoline for power, as well as off-road adventures where both modes can be optimized.
Its specifications stand at 435kW of combined power, 840Nm of peak torque, with the option to select from city drive (electricity), highway drive (gasoline), and a specially designed off-road mode named "X". In addition to an advanced battery powered by Nidec's 43.2 kWh battery pack achieving CLTC pure electric range of up to 220 kilometers.
Furthermore, this new vehicle is equipped with electrical controlled differential locks for enhanced ability on rough terrain, thereby strengthening the driving capabilities in challenging off-road situations.
The event offers fans a chance not only to experience its power and performance but also appreciate its distinctive design and technological advancements.
