Sichuan SUV Starlight Brings High-Efficiency and Practicality to Customers

A recent launch of a high-efficiency SUV by Chery Joint Venture took the market by storm, offering unprecedented incentives to customers. The company has announced a comprehensive promotion for its latest compact SUV model, which is expected to offer significant benefits with a total discount range of RMB48,000.

The promotional package includes various advantages such as cash rebates ranging from RMB8,000 to RMB12,000, a brand-agnostic 7,000 yuan component upgrade incentive, and up to RMB5,000 in financial support. With these incentives in place, the total discount of the vehicle can reach up to RMB48,000.

The Starlight Compact SUV is currently available in five different configurations, priced between RMB9.98 thousand and RMB12.98 thousand yuan. Notably, over 138,000 units of Chery vehicles have been sold by the end of June, with the fifth-generation Starlight model alone exceeding 430,000 in sales.

In terms of design, the new SUV features a unique aesthetic inspired by the "Star Wings" concept. Characterized by its large and rounded tailfin, this car boasts classic new energy appearance. The vehicle can be ordered in four different star-inspired colors – Han Sky White, Celestial Blue, Woodland Gray, and Spark Gold.

The overall dimensions of the Starlight SUV are 4,745/1,890/1,680 mm in length, width, and height respectively. With a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, it perfectly fits into the compact SUV category. There are two powertrain options available for this vehicle – one is purely electric with an 150 kW motor paired with a 60-degree iron-phosphate battery pack that offers a maximum range of up to 510 kilometers. The second option consists of both a 1.5-liter natural gas engine and an electric e-motor.
