Concept Cars from Volkswagen Group Unveil New Design Direction
The Volkswagen Group has released three concept car designs, showcasing their new face-lifted front ends and lighting designs. These cars will be shown globally for the first time on April 22nd.
The design language behind these vehicles is a direct reflection of the different production strategies adopted by each of the Domestic-Partner (DP) factories. Mass production is expected to begin soon, with the launch of an all-new all-electric SUV in the Volkswagen Group lineup.
Further updates reveal that the concept cars feature unique character lines across their three DP partners. The resulting models include:
- One based on the CMP platform and CEA architecture with a compact electric Estate car.
- A scaled-up version of the same, boasting an entirely new all-new front end design using a LED display for the headlights with an array of tiny strips running horizontally underneath.
- Another variant featuring the ID. logo on its side mirror, marking it as part of "Wonders of Its Kind".
The updated frontal look in these models follows upon Volkswagen Group's focus on advancing and integrating newer innovations. There is also a renewed emphasis placed on time-tested design approaches used by their predecessors, focusing closely on customer satisfaction while promoting accessibility for all individuals regardless of financial status.
These three unique cars are expected to open up three new product lines – adding more variety as well as diversity across the DP factories.
