Red Flag Techen08 to Debut on January 7 with Potential Market Launch
A Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, Red Flag Automobile, is reportedly planning to launch its latest model, the Techen08, on January 7. The new SUV will be positioned in the mid-size segment and come with a pure-electric powertrain.
The Techen08 is built upon Red Flag's modular platform that can accommodate various types of vehicles, including compact cars, SUVs, multipurpose vehicles (MPVs), and cross-over models. This scalable architecture allows the company to respond quickly to changing market demands and consumer preferences.
Visually, the Techen08 boasts an all-new design language characterized by a prominent front bumper, distinctive rear lamps, and a sleek double-tone body. The tail lights feature a dual LED layout that runs vertically across the trunk. Measuring 4,925 x 1,950 x 1,680mm in length, width, and height respectively, and boasting an overall wheelbase of 3,000mm.
In terms of interior design, the Techen08 adopts an all-new theme that adds depth to its appearance. Key features include a stunning 15.5-inch touchscreen display, capable of CarPlay functionality, as well as surround lighting available in 256 shades. Front passengers will enjoy heated seats, ventilation, and massage functions exclusively.
The vehicle is powered by a Fudi lithium iron phosphate battery pack, which provides maximum output at 253kW and maximum torque of 450 Nm. Furthermore, the new electric SUV benefits from rapid charging capabilities to deliver up to 80% of its range in just under 41 minutes. The estimated time to reach 100km/h is clocked at an exhilarating six and a half seconds from standstill.
In terms of advanced safety and autonomous driving features, the Techen08 stands out with L2 Level II Autopilot functionality and extensive support for urban to expressway driving modes. These innovations bring about enhanced overall safety and user convenience.
