Chinese Car Sales Chart for April: Notable Trends and Models
In the latest sales data released by the Chinese Automotive Manufacturers Association (SAMOA), several car models have secured significant positions in April's top 10 list.
Xiaomi Mi SU7 Takes Top Spot
The XMIMi SU7 has taken the first spot with an astonishing 28,585 units sold. This is largely attributed to the model's delayed production schedule, which will take at least 37 weeks (approximately eight months) for the car to hit the market. Although production is limited, it remains to be seen how well Xiaomi can meet the expected demand.
Tesla Model Y Takes Second Place
Despite having fewer units sold compared to the previous month (48,189), the XMIMi Model Y still ranks second on the list. The Shanghai factory, which manages both global and domestic exports, produces limited quantities of the vehicle each quarter and is expected to peak in terms of local deliveries every quarter.
Toyota Palisade Pro Leads Third
The Toyota Palisade Pro has taken third place after its revised lineup offered impressive performance with lower prices starting from 16.99 million yuan.
