Shiyue 01, China's First Production Sports Car, Hits the Market

On April 26, Shiyue 01, a new sports car from Jiangxi Jiagu Group New Energy Automotive Company Limited, was officially launched in the Chinese market. The car features only one model, priced at 22.98 万元 (approximately USD 3,300).

Manufactured by the company, the Shiyue 01 is equipped with various high-performance components, including a transverse-mounted suspension, pipe-type chassis, and six dual-stage front-wheel drive and four rear-wheel drive. The car's weight distribution is expected to provide excellent stability.

Under the hood, the Shiyue 01 boasts a front-and-rear double electric motor four-wheel drive system, capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds.

The exterior design of the Shiyue 01 embodies a standard sports car concept, featuring a large front grille and headlights integrated with the door openings. The side profile features a sleek and aerodynamic design, complete with adjustable wing spoilers.

Additional styling options include custom color choices for the body. A total of two wheel designs are available: the first option is equipped with 18-inch aluminum five-spoke wheels designed by Shenyang Jinliao automotive Technology Co., Ltd; the second option comes with Shenyang Jinliao automotive Technology Co., Ltd-designed aluminum double-five spoke wheels and alloyed wheels.

The dimensions of the car are as follows: length 4,106mm, width 1,830mm, height 1,170mm, and a wheelbase of 2,503mm.

Shiyue 01's interior design takes inspiration from minimalist sports cars. The instrument panel features a large liquid crystal display showing all necessary driving information while maintaining sleek lines of metal and plastic molding.

Performance

The Shiyue 01 is equipped with front-and-rear double electric motors developed by Shanghai Jinbo Group, with the combined power reaching up to 320kW（435 horsepower in total）and a peak torque exceeding 600 Nm. Furthermore, the car accelerated from 0-100km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reached an electronically limited top speed of 200km/h under extreme driving condition.

The battery capacity will be developed by CNG Technology Innovation Co., Ltd. with energy density at 60 kWh/3.6m³. With CLTC work mode, the car achieved a total range of up to 520 kilometers and has been able to charge below 25 minutes when it reaches 30% - 80%.
