A latest update from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in China has shed light on the upcoming Wind God L8, a flagship vehicle from Dongfeng Automobile.

The Wind God L8 is set to be unveiled next year, with the company planning to release it during 2025. The electric powertrain will feature Dongfeng's latest all-electric propulsion system, expected to hit Chinese shores as early as mid-2025.

In terms of exterior design, the new car features a multi-layered lighting system consisting of LED lights mounted on top and below the front bumper, which work in tandem with the side air vents for improved aerodynamics. The back lights incorporate wind deflection boards, adding to its stylish and sleek appearance. Other distinctive features include half-shrouded door handles and wide wheel arches with a double five-spoke wheel design. Measuring 4762/1910/1677mm in dimensions, the new car boasts an overall size slightly larger than the previous model.

From an equipement standpoint, it will come fitted with wheels and cameras as optional extras. The L8 Wind God boasts Dongfeng's new MHEV (Mixture Hybrid Electric Vehicle System) electric powertrain system available to use either alone in pure electric mode or combined with conventional gasoline drive.
