Geely Deepin Teams Up with New Energy + AI Lab at Cutting-Edge Battery Safety Standards

Chinese Tech Firm and GM Partner to Create AI-Powered Battery Lab

On May 7, a Chinese tech firm, deep-sense technology, and General Motors announced their collaboration on an "AI+Fuel Cell" joint laboratory. For the first time, the pair introduced its cutting-edge bio-pharmaceutical field "artificial intelligence simulation system" into the development of battery cells.

The lab focuses on three major areas: cloud-side battery digital duplication, AI-agent models, and smart research on new materials for batteries. The collaborative platform relied on GM's Research Big Graph matrix and deep-sense's Artificial Intelligence for Science matrix to open up a new frontier in the targeted drug development of batteries.

An innovative system that resembles a virtual laboratory with physical applications was put into place. For instance, "Virtual CT Machine" recognizes and records microscopic chemical processes, "Smart Physicians" predict risks at super-computer speed via AI models, while an electrochemistry platform customizes materials at atomic level like an operation theater for molecules.

With the advent of a spiral-of-innovation model combining theoretical simulations with real-world manufacturing, efficiency and stability of battery development increased significantly. The dual-rotational innovation method could enable substantial improvements in various factors.
