Chery GL8 Lungshan Upgrades with Exclusive Interior Colors

The latest iteration of China's best-selling SUV has just dropped a fresh batch of interior colors. These upgraded hues, named 'Cloudy Mist' (, Yun Rou Mi) and 'Smoke Rain Gray' (, Yin Xia Grey), offer consumers two additional options to choose from. The Chery GL8 Lungshan was brought to the Chinese market on April 1st this year, priced between 24.99-28.99ousand CNY (RMB), which reached its first cumulative sales goal of over 23000 units within just one month.

Inspiration Drawing

These new color combinations take inspiration from nature, drawing upon gentle morning dew and evening mist hues "Cloudy Mist" blends soft white undertones with subtle hints at the pale hue reminiscent to the dawn sky. In contrast, 'Smoke Rain Gray' brings forth a darker grey tone that can evoke an image of dusk on some clear Chinese skies.

Measurements and Interior Features

These latest Chery models measure 5219/1878/1807mm in height-width-length measurements with wheelbase ranging from 3088mm, equipped with second-row passenger seats. Among new interior colors available, these both blend together seamlessly within their respective environments "Cloudy Mist - an ethereal ambiance" and "Smoke Rain Gray – a coolness to soothe senses."

Engine and Transmission

From power aspect, Chery GL8 models are equipped with a range of 1.5T hybrid engine powers combined with enhanced electro-mobility capabilities from new plug-in hybrid system 'Lung-Shan' - bringing together engine power up to 132kW; Peak torque value is around 250N·m coupled with a front-wheel drive transmission of two speed Dual Horse Type gear set designed primarily for smooth handling.

The combination between 1.5T-motor and enhanced plug-in hybrid efficiency features from the system result in overall combined motor performance reaching up to 292kW at certain conditions, achieving the capability to complete an extensive 1420 kilometers under one cycle charge.
