Volvo Sells 13,537 Cars in China's Mainland - Half-Yearly Sales Hit a Record High of 70,298 Vehicles.

Volkswagen Passat Ears New Features and Trim Levels Announced

German automaker Volkswagen has released its sales data for the June quarter, highlighting significant growth in mainland China. The company sold 13,537 vehicles on the Chinese market, a year-on-year increase of 12.7%.

The best-selling model during this period was theXC60 variant, with 7,801 units sold and a 13.7% month-over-month boost.

Another popular model, the S60, saw sales rise by 15.2%, with 2,164 units delivered. The cumulative sales of both variants have increased by a staggering 28% compared to the same period last year, cementing Volkswagen's position in the Chinese market.

As of June, Volkswagen has sold a total of 70,298 vehicles on the mainland Chinese market.

New-generation XC60 Family Launched

The newly launched XC60 family was officially unveiled on June 26. Fuel-powered variants will be priced between 39.69 million yuan and 47.49 million yuan, with an exclusive "尊享价区间" offering a temporary price range of 25.49 million yuan to 32.49 million yuan.

The plug-in hybrid versions will boast prices starting at 52.39 million yuan, with an additional "参考尊享价" section offering a discounted price window of 35.49 million yuan to 43.49 million yuan.

Design and Features Enhanced

The new car boasts a revamped exterior design featuring a striking intercross net pattern. The interior has been upgraded with a stunning floating infotainment screen measuring 11.2 inches and equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.

The fuel-powered XC60 variants are paired with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 cylinder engine combined with a 48V light-hybrid system, producing 184 kilowatts in maximum power output. The plug-in hybrid XC60 models boast a total system power of 335 kilowatts.
