Windy A9L Unveiled for Pre-Sale, Equipped with Advanced Technology and High-Performance Capability

On June 26, 2025, Chery officially launched the flagship model of its Windy A series, the Windy A9L. This luxurious car is positioned in the mid-size SUV segment and boasts high levels of technology and performance.

Technical Specifications

The Windy A9L measures 5018/1965/1500mm in length, width, and height respectively. The wheelbase extends to 3000mm. The front face features a classic enclosure-style grille with a meshed air intake at the bottom. The headlamps are accompanied by side-mounted fog lamps.

The exterior design is streamlined and elegant, complemented by traditional administrative level SUV elements such as solid-piston alloys and decorative chrome strips around the vehicle body. The door design includes semi-hidden handles, and standard car tires with black and red tread patterns can be seen on the wheel hub caps, showing the luxury sedan feature.

The interior features a dual-tone paint scheme, red, black, brown colors available for choice as preferred. It also highlights a more mature look and feel. Inside, the dashboard features an orange-brown color to increase depth, accompanied by the 15.6-inch touchscreen screen in the center. Rear seats provide good support space.

Motor

The vehicle is powered by the all-electric powertrain system of Chery Peacock's Energy CDM 6.0 Power System, with dual drive or four-wheel drive modes, equipped with a 1.5-L engine combined with an electric motor. Maximum torque can reach up to 530 Nm.

Model Variations

The available options for configurations depend on the seating capacity of the individual vehicle. The pre-sale price ranges from 15.99-22.99 kina, and will arrive in dealerships on July 8.

Sales Background

Last April's Shanghai car show witnessed Chery presenting its new model as Windy A9L was inspired to be created by a previous concept called ARRIZO Star, which signified the direct embodiment of the car design. The series currently available models for windy are already in the market, such as F8 and F8L which belongs to compact vehicle categories.

The upcoming launch of Windy series cars marks the beginning of a new chapter for the brand to focus on mid-size segments at home turf markets.
