Lei Ge Free Makes Debut at Shanghai Auto Show, Unveiling its New Features
At the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Show, Lei Ge's latest model, the Leige Free, took center stage. The car catches attention for its association with Huawei's latest intelligent driving technology systems.
According to Lei Ge, the new Leige Free has gained 20 million units sold since its launch, demonstrating the brand's solid growth in the market.
Design and Dimensions
The Leige Free comes as a mid-to-large-sized SUV. The front of the car features an updated and more angular design, with sealed slim slats. A high-end LED light pattern is also adopted.
What sets it apart from its predecessors is the integration of Huawei's Quan Kun Intelligence Driving System, which improves driving performance significantly.
The body dimensions measure 4,915mm in length, 1,960mm in width, and 1,660mm in height, while the wheelbase measures 2,960mm. Overall, it maintains its position at mid-to-large-sized SUVs while presenting more features on its exterior, including a wider gap between the wheelhouse and the rear of the car.
Enhanced interior with upgraded materials to boost driving experience
Although the interior specifications have not yet been made public, according to Lei Ge, several enhancements were applied. This includes new design approaches to use quality materials, especially in areas like upholstery, detailing, and electronic system setup.
Mechanicals
Powering the Leige Free is a 1.5L high-efficient petrol boost engine with maximum output of 95kW, combined with an electronically-controlled dual-clutch manual transmission or single automatic gear system. Moreover, it was enhanced using Enhanced Drive Control (EDC) Magic Ride technology.
This system provides 5 different driving modes to customize the experience to suit multiple environments. Alongside that, it also enhances its perception capability.
Intelligent Driving System: Tian Yuan Structure
Lei Ge's new Leige Free takes a step forward with the debut of the East Wind Intelligent (Tian Yuan) structure. This new system will serve as Li's future AI-driven driving program, which is divided into Intelligent Navigation and Safety Platform (青云 L3 level), and Intelligent Driving Assistance System (鲲鹏 L3 level).
This advanced framework combines various aspects such as engine control, electronic systems, safety systems for the most comprehensive capabilities of the brand.
