BMW Introduces All-New iX3 with Vision Neue Klasse Design Language
Berlin, Germany - June 11, 2024
The BMW Group has unveiled the all-new BMW iX3, a flagship model based on the new BMW Neue Klasse platform. The first production model to be built on this platform, the iX3 inherits its design language from the recently released Vision Neue Klasse X concept car.
Scheduled for its global debut at the Munich Motor Show in September this year, the iX3 will be followed by an indigenous version of the BMW iX3, codenamed NA6, which is set to make its global reveal at a later date. The domestic iteration boasts a longer wheelbase and will start production in 2026.
Tested cars for the production model feature sweeping lines that transition seamlessly from sportiness to understated elegance, showcasing the iX3’s stunning new design language. Front end accents are drawn to attention by the unmistakable BMW badge integrated under C-pillar with an imposing set of fog lamps complete with LED illumination. On either side of the front bumper lies a sophisticated air intake system.
Moving around to the rear, the car takes its cue from the vision Neue Klause for its aggressive yet beautiful appearance, with sweeping shoulder lines to emphasize an overall feeling of dynamic stability and agility.
When you step inside the car, it is clear that the interior has been designed to be as impressive as it is functional. BMW’s pioneering approach to ergonomic design offers users a fully integrated cockpit experience – visual layout called "visual cone". Utilizing innovative Projection technology and advanced LED lighting, this allows us to transport ourselves into a completely different scene. Sit back, relax, and immerse yourself in the surroundings.
The car boasts an impressive array of innovative features inside including 17 inch touch screen with advanced local display, voice-to-text interaction and gesture controls for greater user-friendly convenience and experience.
Furthermore, new iX3 will benefit from BMW’s Chinese-specific upgrade package – NA66 that extends rear axle length, seats rear passengers in increased comfort with special seat design and more sophisticated ergonomics at seating side, offering space where it is most needed to the back passenger.
Chinese customers specifically could also take for granted an intuitive control system in the form of the super-intelligent intelligent co-pilot eDrive – AI powered driving assistant available on all iX3 production models. The operating system – X brings onboard cutting-edge AI technology and features, including smart route planning with real-time traffic updates and personalized route optimization.
As you get ready to embark for your new journey or simply relax at home, Chinese consumers can enjoy the comfort and style of brand-new BMW i6x3 available exclusively in China. From its longer wheelbase to wider shoulder line designed to accommodate rear seat space expansion at back seats with extra reinforced cushioning – NA66 embodies its promise of providing the ultimate driving and ride experiences specifically tailored for the taste of Chinese consumers.
For the electric power, BMW will be utilizing a 6th-generation electric module that boasts higher output figures than before. In contrast with this new unit the iX3's long-range model provides you maximum energy density. This means, to put it bluntly – your car gets more miles per kg without you having to carry around more heavy batteries.
