Royal SUV Revealed: Exclusive First Look at Rongwei M7 with Stunning DMH Display

RWE Automobiles Unveils RWE M7 DMH, Its First Mass-Produced Luxury SUV

Date: June 27th

The Chinese automaker, RWE Automobiles, has unveiled the RWE M7 DMH (Dynamic Mobility Hybrid), its first mass-produced luxury SUV. The vehicle is positioned in the mid-size luxury segment and is expected to hit the market later this year.

Designed in collaboration with Joseph Kabban, the Global Vice President of Design at SAIC's design center, who led the design team for the M7 DMH. Kabban brings extensive experience in designing high-end vehicles, having previously held positions at premium brands such as Bugatti, Audi, and BMW. He is known for extracting core elements from a brand's heritage and giving them a modern interpretation.

The exterior of the RWE M7 DMH boasts a solid and imposing appearance, with a balanced proportioned body shape and striking LED lights. The characteristic "Z-wave" design language from the M7 concept car is evident here, but in an even bolder form. A row of vector LED strips adorns the front grille, complemented by a prominent brand logo in a dark gray finish.

The size of the RWE M7 DMH measures 4,940mm long, 1,890mm wide and 1,510mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,820mm. The design exudes an air of administrative sensibility through multiple sets of broad-wheeled wheels.

From the side view, the RWE M7 DMH's length gives it a slightly cramped rear axle stance while maintaining an impression of power. A unique C-pillar at the back creates a dynamic appearance.

The rear features a three-dimensional (3D) floating LED light bridge, mirroring the configuration found at the front. Below this is a plushly cushioned rear boot with two wide lateral lights in line below; these serve to lower visibility of potential pursuit during nighttime journeys while driving.

Inside the cabin, a dual-tone interior creates an aesthetic fusion of elegance and modernity. The dashboard screen measures 16 inches (up from 12.3-inches on its sibling models), which is supplemented by physical buttons for functions such as temperature. A clever wireless charging tray fits within the vent area, while an ample glove box space is nestled beneath.

The seating arrangements reveal a pleasing mix of practicality and luxurious attributes: padded upholstery; front seats with powered adjustment controls that accommodate passengers in rows; a spacious rear seat legroom accommodating toddlers too. Additionally features include a centre control unit (for audio playback) connected by tactile buttons for further user interaction.

At the heart of this model, an efficient DMH technology harnesses high-performance potential while optimizing energy reduction – and this brings to mind electric vehicle-like benefits under real-world driving conditions.
