Renault Micra's Electric Variant Spotted Online
A series of leaked images has surfaced online revealing the upcoming electric version of Renault's Micra, scheduled to utilize the AmpR Small platform shared with the 5 E-Tech. In line with the increasing demand for eco-friendly vehicles, this new model positions itself as a solid contender in the compact pure-electric segment.
Several aspects of the design stand out, with notable differences from its Renault 5 E-Tech counterpart. The overall shape is rounded, giving it a unique appearance compared to its sibling car. Though some camouflage may be present on the front-facing unit, distinct circular lamp arrangements set the car apart by their ring-like structure composed of an expansive LED daytime mode and narrow main-lamp sets. Additional features include vertical-style side-fogs that come as strips of LEDs coupled with transverse grilles for breathing functions.
Observing its profile, a concise, agile stance can be observed in this French auto creation's design approach alongside the characterizing presence of 5 E-Tech echoes, though to some extent less pronounced due to various elements distinguishing it uniquely. Upon consideration of its rear end, circular lamp formations echoing similar facial expression from front, coupled with an underlined rain-wipe system signify both practicality and functional considerations.
Electric power unit, inspired by the electric variant of Renault 5 E-Tech is forecasted for a high-performance dynamic based on three available power units (95-122-150 horsepower configurations) potentially paired together to amplify driving capabilities. The potential power reserve anticipated ranges from 400 km to go with its electric battery capacity - ranging between 40kWh and 52 kWh as seen in the predecessor Renault 5 E-Tech.
