NIO Delivers 22,900 New Vehicles in April, With A Growing Market Share

Beijing, China - May 1, 2024 – Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer CI Automotive Corporation, d/b/a NIO Inc. ("NIO"), today announced that it delivered a total of 23,900 new vehicles in April, representing a 53% year-over-year increase and a 58.9% month-over-month gain. This notable growth can be attributed to the delivery of 19,269 new NIO brand vehicles and 4,400 new Lode brand vehicles.

As of today, NIO has cumulatively delivered over 737,558 vehicles, with its NIO brand accounting for 697,385 deliveries and Lode brand accounting for 39,942 deliveries. It's also worth mentioning that NIO Energy recently activated its third 3,300th charging station in May.

Given the disclosed data, April witnessed a resurgence in NIO delivery numbers, which presents an encouraging trend for the company. Currently, NIO is navigating a strategic transition between its older and newer products, with the ET5/ET5T/ES6/EC6 models facing upgrades.

NIO is gearing up for its product launch extravaganza in 2025, where three of its brands will unveil nine new models, significantly increasing brand visibility and user choice. This upcoming product launch sets high expectations on behalf of NIO's marketing campaigns.

Additionally, Lode noticed a significant rise in attention and interest since the start of the two weeks prior, marked by a change in their CEO. The company launched innovative policies during the May Day holiday period; such as exclusive free-charge & swap services for users, fostering positive user reviews and feedback. Officially confirmed reports from CI Automotive Corporation indicate that Lode’s lock volumes in April recorded nearly 1,500 units.

In late April, upon opening operations of its charging station network simultaneously, NIO Energy officially attained the title of 'changzhou' (County) through full implementation, connecting to the network on a provincial scale. Now, NIO Exchangeable offers users faster services for swapping; thus further developing its overall value. Moreover, the company announced the availability of 428 new stations, bringing forth convenient user experiences. Even as of yesterday, NIO has expanded highway swap capabilities nationwide; there exist CFCs along major highways at each average of 120 kilometers in the district.

Furthermore, since Power Up CI Automobile's announcement of "switch districts" plan - which commenced on August 20th in 2024 - NIO Energy successfully added its 3,289th swap station. Throughout the country with the help of this large-scale expansion, users are able to roam freely, using more scenes without hesitation.
