Longjiang Automobile Sees Significant Sales Gains in May
Longjiang Automobile has announced its sales figures for the month of May, with a total of 102,231 vehicles sold, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 11.78%. The company's electric vehicle (EV) sales posted an impressive 32.41% increase to 32,638 units, driven by strong demand for mainstream models.
The top-selling new car model in May was Longjiang Box Truck, with 43,724 units sold and a year-over-year growth rate of 28.27%. The Luxor brand saw an increase of 24.67% to reach 29,839 units.
Longjiang Automobile's flagship Haval brand reported sales of 57,693 units in May, up by 22.58% compared to the same period last year. Its rival Weida witnessed a remarkable sales spike of 115.27% reaching 6,161 units.
Meanwhile, Longjiang's military vehicle division sold 15,510 units, representing a 2.71% increase from the previous year. The overseas market saw an even more significant jump of 56.59%.
In a related development, Longjiang has launched a limited-time promotion for customers in June, offering up to RMB 38,000 in discounts across its product lineup.
