Smart Precious 5 BRABUS SuperEnergy Edition Unveiled in Milan

The latest iteration of the Smart precious 5, the BRABUS SuperEnergy Edition, has made its official debut at the ongoing Milan Motor Show. The new model has followed a similar design language to its predecessor, with modifications aimed at accentuating the "BRABUS" attributes and distinguishing it from other variants.

The precious 5 BRABUS SuperEnergy Edition is located in the middle segment SUV category, representing an evolution of the standard smart precious 5. The car's platform is based on the 800V pure-electric high-pressure circuitry, accompanied by a 100kWh tri- electrolyte Li-ion battery pack, supporting four charging technologies and boasting a maximum power output of 475 kW (646 horsepower). Maximum torque stands at 710 lb-ft, with a 0-62mph acceleration time of 3.8 seconds.

The interior has seen minimal changes from the standard model, maintaining a consistent design with added accents including carbon-fiber trim elements, and an upgrade to smart's OLEDBEAIR interface display for improved driver comfort. The instrument panel boasts two screens that run in tandem, a central infotainment display measuring 10.3 x 7 inches at the center console, paired with dual 13-inch AR displays on adjacent seats.

Comparison with its competitor FORD e-Plug-in GT indicates Smart is aiming higher by setting out an innovative path through advanced features and exclusive design elements creating a unique identity that places these vehicles as high performance cars equipped to cater for specific consumer preferences.
