China's First Electric Vehicle Expo Brings Excitement to Hong Kong

On June 12, 2025, the Hong Kong Electric Vehicle Expo held its inaugural ceremony, marking a significant milestone for Polestar in entering the Hong Kong market. The event showcased the brand's lineup of electric vehicles, including the G7 and IROn series.

Polestar G7

The Polestar G7 was first unveiled in China earlier this year, boasting two versions, Max and Ultra, priced at CNY 23.58 million (approximately USD 3.5 million). The car features a family-style design, dubbed the "X FACE" for its second generation. The exterior includes distinct design elements such as prominent daylight running lights that are seamlessly integrated into the front bumper.

The rear end is fitted with a trapezoidal-shaped tail lamp system providing an excellent aesthetic balance. Dimensions include overall length, width, and height of 4892/1925/1655mm for the car, providing ample cabin space. Inside, the Polestar G7 will boast exclusive ring-armature soft material surrounds to enhance passenger comfort, while incorporating wooden accents, a luxurious feature. High-resolution displays measure 15.6 inches.

Several advanced safety features were designed into this premium electric vehicle:

  • Self-driving system featuring AI
  • Integrated cameras equipped with the rearview camera and rear-facing 360° AR display screen
  • Rear-mounted single rear light for added visual recognition. Polestar G7 boasts an impressive array of high-end amenities and cutting-edge technology, designed to make driving more intuitive and enjoyable.

Polestar MONA M03

The Polestar MONA M03 also made its debut at the Hong Kong electric vehicle expo in China. With two model versions available, called Max (502km) and Ultra (600 km), price points will range from RMB 1.298 million to RMB 13.98 million.

Inside the car, MONA features:

  • Customizable interior panels to be fully equipped with AI-based features at low costs.
  • A comprehensive safety package designed by German engineers, which comprises of a host of sensors and cameras working in tandem with advanced software programs to provide safe and secure navigation capabilities.
