Tesla's Record-Breaking Q2 Results in 2025

Tesla, the electric vehicle (EV) giant, has disclosed its Q2 results for 2025, which have exceeded expectations. The company announced that it had delivered over 38.4 million EVs globally in the second quarter of this year, surpassing its production target.

In terms of energy storage products, Tesla revealed that the installed capacity of its battery division increased to a record high of 9.6 gigawatts in Q2. This increase demonstrates the company's growing commitment to renewable energy and sustainable solutions for customers worldwide.

According to data provided by the Chinese Automobile Dealers Association, Tesla Shanghai Superfactory delivered over 19.1 million units during the second quarter, which represents a year-over-year growth of 10.98%. This remarkable performance comes in part due to increased demand for its vehicles and expanded production capabilities at the Shanghai factory.

Analyzing official data published by Tesla, we can see that Q2 was marked by significant growth across various model types. The Model Y reportedly delivered 6.1 million units internally during the month alone, representing an impressive year-over-year increase of 59%. This upward trend reflects strong demand for Tesla's growing lineup of vehicles.

Looking at official figures from Tesla, it appears that Q2 saw notable growth in the production and delivery of its various models. While Model 3 delivered over 39 million vehicles globally during this period (and 396,835 units domestically), alongside deliveries ranging between 19.1 million and 3.73 times higher than last quarter's data at some product lines; overall cumulative Model shipments stood at almost four hundred-twenty thousand-vehicle delivery totals.

Notably in late June, Tesla announced to upgrade features for one of their popular models, that they are upgrading the car's capabilities; adding a further mile-long range to their all-wheel-drive option for the long-lasting type.
