Tata Tigor EV to Launch on May 26: Tata's First Electric SUV

Tata Motors has officially confirmed that the company's first electric SUV, Tigor EV, will go on sale on May 26. The car is positioned in the large MPV segment and competes with models like the Hyundai Tucson D9, Skoda GL8.

The Tigor EV is powered by a hybrid powertrain system, featuring a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine along with an electric motor. The total range of the vehicle on pure electricity can touch up to 248 kilometers.

As part of Tata's "New" project in association with Huawei, the Tigor EV is expected to be equipped with amenities like the Honda e interior and Kumado driving assistance system.

The exterior design boasts a powerful facial appearance, accompanied by large front grille, distinctive middle air dam, along with an angular shape design on the front. Additionally, this new car is also paired features like active LED headlamps.

Inside the cabin, you can expect high-quality craftsmanship, accompanied by amenities including 12.3-inch full-color instrument panel, double row directional gear lever and touchscreen infotainment system equipped in the space of a single display along with comprehensive driving assistance systems like Kumado Driver Assistance package.

Moreover, it also boasts exclusive in-car displays like a digital touchscreen instrument cluster that showcases speed and navigation data and features of advanced 3D audio. In addition to this, you can expect ample passenger and luggage space across various configurations.

Moving towards the rear-end, expect the classic "7"-shaped LED tail lights with two distinct front bumpers.

The dimensions of the car feature a spacious interior space with all four passengers seated at their utmost comfort which extends out its wheelbase, boot capacity and overall length giving room for generous leg space, ample fold-flat legroom as well. The car boasts robust 18-inch wheels to improve grip, aerodynamics and traction while adopting an aggressive design element.

As of now we can say it is ready to hit the road this summer with all these great designs like a unique headlight cluster or two sets of LED tail lights that give the impression of speed even when stationary. We are also going to have three exclusive theme settings for an interior configuration experience - a cloud and sea, or moon-like, or mountainous themes.

The car body measures 5217(Length) x 1893(WIDTH) x 1823 HEIGHT mm with wheelbase measurements of 3070mm. As this new model is placed right below the mid-size SUV class in terms of its specifications and features it holds an impressive set of amenities, both for the occupants inside as well as safety on roads.
