Geely's Polestar Posts Strong Sales Figures in April
Geely Corporation disclosed its sales figures for the month of April, revealing a total of 41,316 vehicles sold, with a year-over-year increase of 18.7%. Among these sales, Geely brand vehicles accounted for 13,727 units, while Lecca brand vehicles reached 27,589 units.
According to an official statement from Geely Corporation, the Lecca 900 went on sale less than an hour before reaching 100,000 units sold. The vehicle is a flagship model of the Lecca SUV series, available in four trim levels with prices ranging between 30.99 million yuan and 41.69 million yuan. Limited-time discounts are now available within the price range of 28.99-39.69 million yuan.
Based on the proprietary SPA Evo platform designed specifically for large electric mix vehicles, the Lecca 900 is categorized as a premium six-seat SUV. The vehicle features three powertrain options: 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter hybrid engines, paired with dual-motor and tri-power-train arrangements (CLTC pure-electric range: 220-280 kilometers). Higher-end models feature the Intel Edison Thor smart chip, enabling advanced smart driving capabilities.
Simultaneously, Geely introduced the extreme version of its new model called Geely X, expected to be unveiled during this third quarter. It will first hit stores featuring super electric mix technology and a price starting at 100 million yuan. Furthermore, an external power charging socket has been officially released for car owners enabling a boost of 1.3-megawatt charging capacity.
It is announced that Geely 998x "Lighting" series will also be launched alongside the new X model, expected to have a price range above 400 million yuan, set out as high-end vehicle within Geely family, sharing their unique spirit with other models and forming an elite hierarchy of Geely.
