Chery Wind T8 Goes on Sale: A New Player in the Mid-Sized SUV Market

The Chinese automaker Chery has launched its new mid-sized SUV, the Wind T8. The car is now available for pre-sale, with prices starting at 10.99 yuan (approximately $1,660 USD).

The Wind T8 comes in six variants, including 5-seat and 7-seat configurations. It will be powered by two hybrid systems: a 1.5L plug-in hybrid and a 1.5T turbocharged hybrid.

One of the key features of the Wind T8 is its electric range. According to Chery, the car can travel up to 65 kilometers on a single charge, with the 1.5L plug-in hybrid and up to 130 kilometers with the 1.5T turbocharged hybrid.

Design-wise, the Wind T8 adopts Chery's signature design language and features a closed-fender design with a distinctive mid-set wing structure, two-tone headlamps, and a grille that integrates with the front fender. The car also boasts a sleeker design that leans towards electric vehicle aesthetics.
