Audi Unveils Sportback Version of Q3 Ahead of Summer Release
Audi has revealed the first spy shots of its new Q3 Sportback sedan, which is currently being tested on the Nurburgring race track. The sporty variant joins a revamped third-generation Q3 that was unveiled earlier this year.
The Q3 Sportback's exterior design mirrors that of its Q3 sibling, featuring a sloping front grille, flat LED headlights, and a prominent air intake. However, it sets itself apart from the standard model with a distinct rear design that resembles those of luxury coupes. The Sportback features a slanted rear, tapered roofline, unique side skirts, and sloping rear wheels. However, its spacious rear space is likely to be sacrificed with this updated styling. Additionally, new taillights will also make their debut, following the Q3 refresh.
The interior previewed by the spy shots showcases Audi's modernization efforts. It comes standard with an 11.9-inch instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch infotainment screen featuring an MMI touchscreen. A one-piece steering column now controls the functions of the car using twist-and-touch actions along with buttons on either side.
Driving dynamics in new Audi Q3 Sportback is expected to be enhanced by several variants of engine available across model line. Expectations are that Q3 Sportback will come with the same powertrain lineup as standard Q3, which includes a choice between 155 HP (179 hp) petrol and 150HP diesel or 160 HP electric options. Notably, hybrid system outputs up to 268 HP and can cover around 119Km fully electric under testing.
Additional information about new Audi will be available in the coming months.
