Former PR Manager at BYD Faces Backlash After Scandalous Social Media Postings
A recent internal memo from BYD has sparked outrage after the company's former public relations manager, Xu Jin-yi, was found to have made derogatory comments about his colleagues on social media.
According to a report released by Extreme Automotive via email, Xu had allegedly made inflammatory posts in his friend circles while working on a group effort to come up with a compensation plan for employees who were stressed and anxious about their future prospects.
These remarks significantly undermined the morale of his fellow staff members and showed a clear disregard for BYD's core company culture of "liyeism".
As per the employee handbook, BYD took Xu Jin-yi's actions as a serious breach and decided to separate him from the labor contract.
Xu Jin-yi responded by posting on social media to defend himself. He claimed that he hadn't received any prior communication about such an email before it was sent out, stating that his company is currently in turmoil with possible impersonation scandals surrounding personal staff accounts sharing false news.
However, Xu also expressed deep concerns for the wellbeing of his former colleagues at HR and Summer Liang, whom he could not reach due to contact not being established with either.
