Baidu Announces Comprehensive Safety Guarantee for NIO Vehicles in China

Baidu, the leading Chinese technology company, has made a commitment to ensure the safety and liability of its NIO vehicle owners in smart parking scenarios within the Chinese market.

Under this pledge, NIO will provide a comprehensive safety guarantee to all users of its NIO Super Cars. When using the NIO Super Car's smart parking assistance features or when there is an incident that requires compensation by the owner, they can avoid the complex insurance process and instead contact Baidu's customer support department directly.

Additionally, Baidu plans to implement Over-The-Air (OTA) updates for its NIO vehicle models, including various platforms featuring different NIO series A/B/C vehicles. These OTA updates will aim to enhance features such as smart parking, traffic scenarios detection for the convenience of drivers.

Smart Parking Enhancements

NIO is set to introduce several features in its smart parking system. Besides three-speed automatic parking, entrance parking, and automated rearview mirror parking, its smart parking features will include advanced functionalities like automatically identifying narrow parking spaces. These updates are aimed at improving overall navigation experience for parkers.

Traffic Scenarios

Beyond just providing users with information on possible scenarios, the new version of NIO Super Cars is designed to assist drivers in various situations such as navigating around circular roads, engaging in complex route movements across multiple turns, and assisting in avoiding collisions during highway construction.

Furthermore, the introduction includes assistance tools like beacons that give drivers a flashing signal during heavy traffic.
