The Chinese car manufacturer Longan has officially launched its 2025 model, the long-awaited UNIZ. Available in both gasoline and plug-in hybrid versions, this compact SUV promises to deliver exciting features and impressive capabilities.
Prices and Incentives
The 2025 Longan UNIZ's gasoline versions are priced between 11.59-12.49 yuan (approximately $1.65-$1.74 USD), with a comprehensive discount of 8.09-8.99 yuan (approximately $1.21-$1.35 USD) added on top of the manufacturer's new "Wanxin Jie" promotion, which includes national subsidies. The plug-in hybrid versions will retail for 12.69-13.39 yuan (approximately $1.85-$1.93 USD), with a comprehensive discount of 8.69-9.39 yuan (approximately $1.30-$1.45 USD) available.
Design and Features
The 2025 Longan UNIZ boasts an aggressive design, complete with parameterized flight wing grille and LED daytime running lights that create an aura of depth. The headlights are equipped to work seamlessly in both day and night conditions, while a cloud-like pattern wraps around the rear trunk, complemented by double side air dams and dual underbody diffusers.
Inside, all models come standard with 14.6-inch center screens for connectivity to Huawei smartphones out of the box. This also supports map navigation across different dashboard units, voice commands in both car and outside environments, and even one-key sharing on popular messaging app and review platforms like Meituan. Additionally, multiple pre-set scenarios offer convenience: from a mode that lets you rest while your seat is adjusted to your preferred position. The 2025 Longan UNIZ also introduces an improved Face ID system, enabling face recognition without needing a key.

The gasoline version now comes standard with a new 500-bar, 1.5-T inline-6 blue dolphin engine, boasting greater power output and better fuel efficiency: max performance of 141 horsepower and up to 310 Nm of torque at 1500rpm, combined with a Blue Swan wet multi-speed gearbox offering 96% transmission efficiency and reduced consumption by five percent against the previous model.
For added convenience, we have implemented new 500-bar cold air infeed. This engine package allows for quicker acceleration and lower emissions overall.
