Baojun GL8 Landrush Sales Exceed 10,000 Units in Two Weeks
BEIJING, MAY 6 - BAIC Baojun's latest multipurpose vehicle, the GL8 Landrush, has sold over 10,000 units within its first two weeks of launching. The Chinese automaker is now accelerating production to meet strong demand.
To celebrate this milestone, Baojun is offering a limited-time promotion, dubbed "Break 10,000" (Guō shí niàn xǐng). For a month, starting from May 6th and ending on June 5th, customers who purchase the GL8 Landrush online will receive exclusive rewards.

During the promotional period, customers can enjoy the following benefits:
- A deposit of RMB.1,000 (USD $160) will be deducted from the total price at the checkout stage
- Customers will also benefit from a free upgrade to premium leather seat covers worth RMB1,000
The GL8 Landrush boasts three variants available for purchase, priced between CNY 24.99 lakh (USD $3.6 million) and 28.99 lakh (USD $4.3 million).
The exterior of the vehicle features the Baojun PURE Design language, which enhances its visual recognition. Measuring 5219 mm in length, 1878 mm in width, and 1807 mm in height, the car stretches 3088 mm inches in length.
Under the hood, the GL8 Landrush combines a 1.5-liter hybrid engine, a 110 kWh plug-in electric battery, and Baojun's "Dragon Plug" plug-in hybrid system to provide fuel efficiency while maintaining performance with "cool grid".

The GL8 Landrush includes advanced electrified systems:
- Engine: 165 HP
- The P1-3 Powertronic: This is designed for better acceleration and higher output of maximum traction than a traditional engine alone.
- Max. power output up to 160 KW
- Peak torque reaching 330 newton meters
- Achieves 97.8% efficiency at peak conditions.
This is complemented by the "Cool Grid" heat management system, consisting of COOLGRID inverter and special electrical units with more than 31 patent technologies designed to achieve high operating temperatures in extremely poor weather conditions while minimizing efficiency loss
