Audi A6 Plug-in Hits the Road with its Sleek New Design
The German automaker Audi has unveiled its latest creation, the all-new A6 plug-in hybrid model, which is set to revolutionize the luxury sedan segment with its stylish design and advanced technology.
Based on the A6 family, this new model comes in both coupe and travel versions, mirroring the design language of conventional fuel-powered variants. However, designers have made some subtle tweaks to create a fresh and youthful aesthetic that sets it apart from its predecessor.
Under the hood, the plug-in hybrid boasts an impressive range of 111 kilometers on electric power alone, with the price tag to match at €6,580 (approximated in RMB as ¥53,880).
Exterior-wise, despite being a new generation, one glance and you can tell it's an Audi. The A6 now boasts a more youthful dynamic presence compared to its predecessor, thanks to its updated mid-size grille that gives way to an air of sophistication.
In contrast with the standard model, this hybrid features thicker mid-nets that provide enhanced visual appeal. Furthermore, we see larger intake openings on both sides compared to the previous fuel-powered variants, giving it a more cohesive look. Front LED lighting combines seamlessly, making for a more elegant appearance by day and versatility at night through customizable patterns.
When viewed from the side, we witness a completely new interface courtesy of advanced controls that have transformed door handles into electric ones, coupled with charging ports located on the left rear section. Meanwhile, our attention also falls upon larger rim size, accompanied by a stylish set of alloy shades where red-colored claws take charge of detailing inside.
In the back quarters, you see an air of elegance emanating from the streamlined exhaust and air intake system that provides ample ventilation behind. One notable addition to travel versions is the inclusion of aerodynamic wind deflectors on the side windows above.
Moving indoors, Audi brings together the signature feel of previous variants while introducing innovations like a 11.9, 14.5, & 10.9 inch multi-screen cockpit for an unparalleled infotainment experience and the latest in OLED curve display technology along with innovative HUD (Heads-Up Display) system.
One other significant update to note is improvements in overall noise suppression up by 20%, significantly diminishing the auditory footprint left by the engine itself while largely excluding exterior sound from other sources like that of tires.
