Unleash the Future: Star Map Generation Takes a 1.5TB Leap with Era 6 Enhanced Edition Launching March 10th

Astra Y5 ES+ Plug-in Hybrid Version to Launch on March 10th

The upcoming Astra Y5 ES+ plug-in hybrid version is set to debut on March 10th, marking a significant expansion in the model's lineup. The new variant boasts an advanced 1.5T eBoost system, following previous sales previews of four trim levels, with prices ranging from 16.28 million yuan to 21.98 million yuan.

Design-wise, the Astra Y5 ES+ maintains a largely similar design profile to its all-electric counterpart, featuring a continuity of LED daytime running lamps along the front grille, which is replaced by a closed grille section on both sides of the hood. The front bumper houses two separate headlight clusters with near and far-reaching illuminators, providing excellent illumination at night. A notable feature is also the inclusion of laser radar for support from the Eyes on the Road autonomous driving system.

On the side profiles, key distinctive styles are achieved through curvaceous body lines, integrating into sleek aerodynamic wheel designs to reduce air resistance further. The rear lights remain a continuity with the previous model but with options including an adjustable anti-pollution panel as well as aerodynamic rear diffuser elements for further streamlining.

Dimension-wise, the Astra Y5 ES+ measures up with its pure electric counterpart: 4945mm in length, 1978mm in width, and features a set height of just 1480mm. Its wheelbase also shares these dimensions at 3000 millimeters.

The interior features include an expansive 8.2-inch all-in-one dashboard screen alongside an extra 15.6-inch 2.5K floating center monitor, enhanced navigation capabilities and an upgrading steering system as standard for smoother operation. A technological leap is also made with the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 high-end SoC within vehicle cabins to enable more advanced AI features such as a full smart voice assistant application named Lion AI and a user-friendly navigation program offering multiple audio and speech interaction functionalities.

Compared with its counterpart, this new release can generate significantly powerful forces: thanks in large part to the power of 1.5-liter turbo-boost systems coupled either to a dual or single electric engine option available in different trim levels; they bring combined torque outputs that top at an impressive range.

In terms of energy capacity and battery technology, there are upgrades with new storage options ranging between two types of batteries measuring at 34.7 kWh and 41.16 kWh to improve the overall driving distance and capabilities in urban settings.
