Chevrolet Announces New Corvette-Esque EV Lineup for China
Beijing, July 4 -- General Motors' Chinese subsidiary GM Wuling has officially launched the Chevrolet ET5/ET5T and EC6 "Champion Edition" vehicles in China. The new lineup marks a special milestone for General Motors as it commemorates its title win at the Formula E championship.
The ET5/ET5T Champion Edition boasts exclusive design, enhanced performance, and improved handling. It features 20-inch dual five-spoke racing wheels, a performance green brake caliper, and a champion's plaque on the rear. The car also comes with a carbon fiber exhaust system and upgraded suspension for better high-speed stability.
The EC6 Champion Edition is priced at 37 kW, with an option to select the 100 kW battery pack. Customers can also purchase an exclusive carbon fiber exterior kit for RMB 1,000.
To celebrate General Motors' championship win in China, GM Wuling is offering a limited-time promotion. Customers who reserve and purchase the ET5/ET5T, ES6, and EC6 Champion Edition vehicles before August 31 will receive various rewards, including:
- A RMB 2,000 discount on carbon fiber exterior kits
- Free maintenance for five years
- Access to the EP mode racing simulation environment
Other notable features of the ET5/ET5T Champion Edition include the CDC dynamic suspension, liquid pressure suspension, and advanced safety features. The car also offers an upgraded driving experience with new modes such as popshot mode, drifting mode, and hill climb mode.
In total price terms, the Chevrolet ET5/ET5T Champion Edition is priced at RMB 31.6 kW to 32 kW, while the EC6 Champion Edition is priced at RMB 30 kW to 37 kW, both are rented with a BA package of 1-5 years
