China's North Car Industry Sees Significant Growth in May Sales
China's largest car manufacturer, the North Car Group, has reported a significant increase in sales for the month of May, with deliveries exceeding 431,000 vehicles.
Compared to the same period last year, the company's sales have grown by 1.61% on a year-over-year basis, while on a month-to-month basis, they saw a 6.61% increase, according to official data released Wednesday.
In terms of cumulative sales for the first five months of the year, North Car Group has delivered 662,700 vehicles, representing a 6.35% growth compared to the same period last year.
Sales Breakdown:
- North Cruze: The company sold over 135,000 units in May, marking a 200% increase from the previous year and setting a new high for the brand.
- Beijing Foxwind: Sales of the Beijing Foxwind model climbed by 19% to over 110,000 units in May, with its off-road and panoramic models accounting for an impressive 84%.
- Joyetrend : The Joyetrend has been delivering more than 2,000 units since May.
- Beijing Modern: In May, the Beijing Modern model saw sales exceed 169,000 units, boasting a 19.45% month-to-month growth and a 1-5 months cumulative delivery surpassing 814,000 units at 2.28% year-over-year gain.
- North Ford: The company reported delivering over 496,000 vehicles in May, with its new energy segment seeing a remarkable 124% increase compared to the previous year.
- Overseas Market: In total, the North Car Group sold more than 188,000 units for export during the month of May.
