Geely Group Records Significant Sales Growth in May

The Geely Group achieved impressive sales figures in May, with total vehicle deliveries reaching 366,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. This growth, fueled by strong demand from both domestic and international markets, surpasses the 10% mark when compared to the same period last year.

In terms of terminal deliveries, Geely Group saw a similar increase in May, with total vehicle handovers reaching 384,000 units – also up by 10%. The company has managed to expand its market share significantly across various channels.

New Energy Sales Take Shape Notably, Geely Group witnessed an extraordinary rise in new energy vehicle sales during the month, reaching 125,000 units. These figures account for a remarkable 50% increase when compared to the same period last year. Overseas markets too experienced substantial growth during this time-period, with shipments totaling 98,000 vehicles and a comparable 11.2% rise.

May-to-Date Numbers Painted a Vast Picture of Growth On the heels of May's positive performance comes an overview of Geely Group's sales figure that is sure to inspire confidence among management officials. The numbers indicate the corporation as a whole delivered approximately 168.7 million vehicles from January through May, this time registering an upward leap in sales over last year by the modest margin of 10.5%. Likewise, total deliveries in this period reached nearly 182.4 million units – once again exceeding expectations to produce yet another spectacular upturn after three straight quarters of disappointing performances.

Exclusive Insights on Key Brands

During May's monthly performance, Geely's passenger vehicle arms recorded higher sales figures at the rate of 73,000 units, displaying an impressive leap by the same amount as in last year – this translates to a remarkable surge for domestic market shares of around 62.8%. The company's commercial vehicles, meanwhile, enjoyed similarly impressive growth through the month, adding 18,000 additional registered vehicles.

Geely's internal brands were similarly effective in capturing consumer preferences this time period. Sales for all autonomous brand entities rose to reach an aggregated total of approximately 108.1 million units by May; compared directly with 21.9% increase year-on-year, it marked substantial growth relative both to last year and the current corporation-level figures recorded over a similar stretch.

Furthermore, in New Energy segments alone Geely Group witnessed considerable momentum over May - reaching staggering new energy automobile sale milestones of nearly 52 million units during the first five months post-2022 – thereby posting gains on an upward trajectory of around 43% from last year's same period.
