Honda Sales Skyrocket 15.7% in May, Outpacing COVID-19 Recovery Expectations

Daida Kia Reports Strong Sales Growth in Q1 2025, Eyeing Full-Year Target of 22,075 Units

Daida Kia has announced its sales figures for Q1 2025, reporting a significant year-over-year growth of 15.7% with total vehicle deliveries reaching 20,275 units. The company has also achieved a cumulative gross vehicle production (GWP) of 99,478 vehicles up to May, an increase of 13.3% compared to the same period in the previous year.

The Q1 sales performance includes a substantial growth rate of 7.4% in wholesale production of automobiles, totaling 21,480 units. The company has also seen an increase in exports, with 9,895 engines shipped out in May alone and a cumulative total of 53,024 vehicles exported up to May.

The upcoming half-year launch of the all-new Kia Stinger, which is slated for mass production later this year at the Kia Gwangju factory, marks a significant milestone for the brand. With its introduction expected to further solidify Kia's position as one of the world's top-selling brands, the newer model will be the company's first plug-in hybrid electric powertrain vehicle.

As part of its strategic efforts, Daia will increase development and deployment focus on its new product models in automotive technology fields such as smart body manufacturing and software upgrading. In order to stay ahead of the rest and further meet customer needs, the Korea-based manufacturer also plans to pursue a better brand perception through strengthening marketing, optimizing market strategy, expanding retail channels, in the hopes of driving vehicle sales over time.

This move aligns neatly with Daia's "Innovation for People" 2030 Roadmap. In an overarching vision to create smart vehicle manufacturing platforms and improve overall user experiences both online and offline at multiple levels (such as service upgrading and vehicle performance), Daia aims to strengthen the global network by establishing more export bases in countries around the world, such as Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Singapore.

Currently, with its lineup of products covering a range of gasoline, plug-in hybrids, pure-electrification technologies across passenger vehicles and SUVs (all-electric and hybrid electric) in different price points catering to varying customer needs, Daia will have an extended global presence with exports reaching 88 countries so far.
