Five-High EV Officially Launches Pre-Sales in China

On January 17, Five High EV (part of SAIC Motor's Volkswagen affiliate), a pure electric multi-purpose vehicle, formally began its pre-sales campaign. Two variants were made available for purchase, with prices ranging between 4.78 and 5.08 yuan.

The new car features the "K-Car" design language, positioning itself as a traditional, purpose-built electric vehicle. The vehicle boasts a front-grille-less design and seats that can be folded flat against the floor to optimize cargo space. Prior to its launch, the vehicle underwent testing at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, achieving an estimated range of 201 kilometers solely on battery power.

To prepare for its market debut in Q1, 2025, customers can book their vehicles through the Five High EV app or mobile application between now and release time. Available promotional offers include:

• A power surge gift: Upon purchase, owners receive a free 3.5 kW Level 2 charger on installation of which is not included.
• Subscription expansion gift: A refundable down payment fee of CNY1000 can be used to reduce the original purchase price by 2000 yuan.
• Financial credit gift: Two separate offers (financial credits and upgrade benefits) will allow customers take full advantage of up to RMB1400 in discounts. They may choose which one suits better.
• Exclusive service benefits: Purchase owners can receive a CNY3888 yuan Red Package new energy vehicle exclusive service package as is available exclusively for purchasing vehicle online. The exterior adopts the distinctive front-end design language. A recessed grille contains a charging port, with LED daytime running lights embedded in each side's main beam assemblies. The front fascia takes a horizontal approach angle at an optimal level to facilitate smooth entry into tight spaces without hitting obstacles in front of their vehicle while driving.

On the bodywork, Five High EV employs classic brick-shaped styling which contributes additional space and comfort from both passenger compartments and driver side by providing a more favorable use value. The door design maintains the vintage quality through integration with an upper lateral panel on its left-hand side creating a harmonious balance in its visual lines as well giving ample light penetration.

Behind it stands upright at right of vertical placement due to wide body shape with standard dimensionality and is also equipped for wider driving range according advanced data collection systems. Frontal lights provide superior visibility along the way without disturbing rear sight. The roof has been designed to fit a luggage rack which would add more functionality as can be compared directly on top of traditional five-door models.
